folders for certain things you want, like steam

hi, I just started getting into playnite with my emulators, and I think it would be really helpful if we had folders like steam. that way we could categorize things.

I'm not sure I understand. You can already categorize things in Playnite by several fields and use those to filter games. Can you attach screenshot from Steam to illustrate what are you talking about?

Switch to Detail or List mode, then use Group By > whatever you want. That's the closest to folders you'll get.

I think he's talking about nested folders/subcategories where you choose the platform/console/system on the main screen, then you might have all the roms / games as a separate list in the subfolder for each platform like launchbox/emulation station rather than every entry appearing on the top level
