Feature Request: Allow Drag and Drop for Grid assignment - GinoMan2440 - 09-01-2020

Hello Devs,

I have all horizontal grids for my playnite setup but when it downloads the grids from Steam, it downloads the vertical ones and smushes them down flat which looks terrible. So I've been going through and manually assigning all my steam games to have the horizontal grid from Steam, but In order to assign each game, I have to right click, click edit, click over to the "media" tab, click "+" and then find the image in the list of images, But it would be much easier if I could just drag and drop the png file on top of the game in the grid view and have it automatically assign it to the game.

Just a suggestion.

Thanks

You can drag and drop images in the edit window of a game in the Media tab.

You should change the grid cover aspect ratio to your cover sizes and the stretch mode. Uniform to fill will not stretch images.

You can select whether to download vertical or not in the settings of the Steam plugin, and you can also use the SteamGridDB metadata plugin that is here in the forums to download covers in batch for your games and there's also the Universal Steam metadata plugin.

I highly suggest going through all the settings, I very frequently see people asking for features that already exist in Playnite or for issues that can be solved with a setting.
