After update to 9.4: Games won't launch - sapientmode - 10-15-2021
Hi all,
After updating to Playnite v9.4, I can't launch any of my installed games.
A message pops up "Game Error: Play action is not configured".
I have no clue what this means. I never needed to configure actions while
using v8.15 and earlier.
There was a warning displayed before updating to version 9.x but I didn't
expect any problems because I had no particular themes or plugins installed
(which the warning was referring to).
I'd appreciate some help, I googled for a solution but didn't find anything.

Btw, when I re-installed 8.15, the database wouldn't load anymore.
There was a message along the lines "not compatible with database
version 3" -> "Database can't be loaded".
I don't understand this. I completely removed v9.4 Why can't I just
continue using v8.15?
Again, any hints or solution very welcome. Thanks!

Make sure you have updated your installed plugins in Main menu -> Addons... > Updates
After that, make sure they are configured in that same window in the extension settings update and update your entire game library and see if the issue has been solved

Thanks for your feedback but I never had any plugins (or extensions) installed.
None that I know of, that is.
Turns out, I needed to manually install library integrations via
Main Menu -> Addons -> Browse -> Libraries...
My games are launching again
