RE: Features requests and bug tracking - Landxhent - 04-01-2020

Would you kindly reply if it's possible to add "Minimize" option or button to a fullscreen mode and, if so, do you plan to add it sometime? Maybe I've missed something and it's already exist. But for now it's a bit not comfortable to use fullscreen along with the other windows to switch. Much appreciated and thanks in advance.

RE: Features requests and bug tracking - Crow - 04-01-2020

It's being tracked: https://github.com/JosefNemec/Playnite/issues/1695

I think I can add minimize option to main menu in Playnite 8.

RE: Features requests and bug tracking - RYE74 - 04-04-2020

I have a bunch of shortcuts that I tried to import and tag. Is there a easy way to bulk import shortcuts to games?

RE: Features requests and bug tracking - Crow - 04-04-2020

.lnk shortcuts can only be imported by dragging and dropping them into Playnite's main window (one by one). Playnite 8 will include them when scanning folder for executables, but until then there's no way how to do it in bulk.

RE: Features requests and bug tracking - Crow - 04-04-2020

There's no ETA.

RE: Tab system - Lioric Lionheart - 05-06-2020

I have many different system of games.
It would be nice if we can have a custom tab system
I can customize it for the filters
I can use the bumper keys of the controller to switch tabs

RE: Features requests and bug tracking - Takomancer - 05-12-2020

I would love for a feature to be able to re-organize the order of categories instead of being alphabetical. Right now the only workaround is the be able to number them as shown like this https://i.imgur.com/nG5wJSf.png Also, it does seem like playnite supports group by completion status, but the ordering of completion status is completely random? I would also appreciate if it was something we can change the order as well.
Something I began to appreciate from trying out GoG galaxy https://i.imgur.com/Ukmsd3Z.png

Custom grouping order is not going to be implemented any time soon (the current system is focused a lot on performance). However we will be adding support for bookmarks/playlists in future (basically the feature from Galaxy you mentioned) and those will allow custom sorting.

RE: Features requests and bug tracking - Autherga - 06-11-2020

Is it possible for playnite to support xinput and them in desktop mode, I'll really want to use my Xbox controller to navigate in desktop mode and apply themes in desktop mode as it is in full screen

RE: Features requests and bug tracking - Crow - 06-11-2020

Controller support in desktop mode is not planned due to high complexity of potential implementation.

RE: Features requests and bug tracking - dudedennys - 06-15-2020

Any plans to include some kind of carpets to organize the games better?

RE: Features requests and bug tracking - [bin]zwieda - 06-19-2020

I´m a big fan of list-view, so i have some tiny requests about it:

(1) we can display a column, showing the install-directory of a game (like "C:\Games\MyGame1").
I would like to ask for another option, to show only the drive-letter, without the complete install path.
(i found out right now, that i could just make this column smaller to only display the drive letter to achieve this, but i can´t adjust the "empty space" to the following column)

Also i would like to see the diskspace, the installed game uses.
It could be a combination of "drive-letter" + "used diskspace" in one column, to save space.
Ideally we can sort by "diskspace" or by "drive-letter", so maybe it needs 2 seperate columns?

(2) I use to add each of my games to a cathegory.
I  have my display sorted by cathegory, to have a better overview over each of my libraries (steam, epic, ...), as i have a lot of games.
It´s just, it would be nicer to NOT see the cathegory for each of the games, but to group games of the same cathegory into one "folder", which can be expanded or collapsed within the list view.

It´s like the way, steam had it in the good, old UI till last year.
So It´s all sorted by cathegory. Collapsing some of the cathegories hides the games within, expanding cathegories shows the games within.

Ideally, a game library can be set to be "always sorted by cathegory" in the first order.
Additionally, you can select a sort order within cathegories, like "Game name A-Z", "Game name Z-A", "diskspace", "drive letter", "last played"... what ever is desired  by the user for the moment.

All in list view!

I hope, you´ll be as excited about these suggestions as i am.
;-)

Could you add a check/ uncheck all on the menu for added emulator games after the folder scan or be able to just add one file. I tried added one ps3 game and spent an hour unchecking all the files I can't use. Thank you.

I second this!!  Same thing happened with PS3 games as well.  Would be a timer saver!.

The whole family use it from the couch, but using filters to pin point games with the large collection I have is not so convenient from a controller. What would help ease this is to have the ability to save filters, and have those saved filters accessible from a menu or button. So If the wife prefer the games from Nintendo, or even more granular, like the Mario ones, that could be saved as a filter. then the boy prefer the racing games on Wii and PS3 (but doesn't want the PS2) we can also save this as a filter, so whowever sit in front can just select the pre-defined filters from that list. That would make it much easier/faster to use. Just something for the wishlist. Smile Unless it's already there but haven't figured how to do it yet? Thanks so much in advance for the consideration

I second this. Having the filters saved in a column of its own or even in the sidebar with customizable icons/added text would be nice. This is something the GOG Galaxy 2.0 launcher does, for reference.

When you right click on playnite icon (in the system tray) we should NOT be able to see the hidden games, but they still show up.

RE: Features requests and bug tracking - windcross - 01-21-2021

Before Playnite, I was using Steam Big Picture, and the one thing that I miss from that was the splash screen and the sounds. There's the playnite sounds plugin, now it'd be amazing to be able to set up a full screen animated splash screen to make it similar as a console.
