Hello,
Does anyone else use ReWASD to add or customise controller support for their games?
It's a really handy bit of software that works on Non-Steam (and Steam too, of course) games, but adding games to it can be a bit of a drag. You need to add the box art, which must downloaded or found in Playnite folders). You then need to track down the executable if you want to it to autodetect and activate with a particular game. For example, I've set-up Flower to work with my Switch Pro Controller but act as a DS4 to mimic the motion controls from the game. Like I said, it's a really handy app, especially for Non-Steam games. Incidentally, Flower is in my GOG library.
It would be terrific if there was an extension in Playnite that was able to do create these configs for you, and autofill the Title, box art (or banner, my preference) and application executable with a right click. You can see in the attached screenshot how I have that info inputted manually.
I'd love to help out, but I'll be up-front and state that my experience in any behind-the-scenes programming in zero. I've basically never gone beyond the stage of copying lines into PowerShell. ┌[ ◔ ͜ ʖ ◔ ]┐
