Category Synchronization Plugin
This plugin allows you to synchronize your custom categories and favorites across multiple computers.
Currently this plugin is considered alpha and may not be very stable.
Usage
Manual
From Playnite's Menu, select Extensions->Export Categories to save a json file containing your category information. On another computer, select Extensions->Import Categories and load the json file.
Automatic (via Cloud Service)
Open Settings... from Playnite's Menu and select Plugins->Category Synchronizer. Enable Auto-Sync Categories and set the Sync File Path to a folder which is backed up by a cloud service (such as Dropbox or OneDrive). Click Save. The plugin will keep a file called playniteCategoriesSync.json in that folder and use it to update categories and favorites on all computers which have access to the file.

- It is not necessary for both computers to have the same games in their libraries. When importing, games not present will be ignored.

- Changing categories on two computers at the same time may cause some changes to be lost. Dropbox will create conflict files in this case. I imagine other cloud services will do something similar.
- It may be a good idea to manually export a backup file and keep it somewhere safe, in case something goes wrong.
