You could try to delete the config.json in %appdata%\Playnite\ExtensionsData\8e48a544-3c67-41f8-9aa0-465627380ec8 and try restarting Playnite to create a new one and tell me if that fixed it. If the issue is what I think it is, version 1.7 should not crash anymore, but you might have to redo your settings for this plugin.
