If you get crashes caused by DuplicateHider I need additional information, preferably the playnite.log file containing the error that occurred. Otherwise it gets very difficult to track down the source of the crash.
Also, a large number of games shouldn't be a problem in general with regards to the new priority system. This only comes into play in case duplicates were identified. How many duplicates are in your library? You can check by revealing and then hide duplicates using the main menu functions. This will display the number of hidden/revealed duplicates.
