The idea for this extension came from 'Game Region Filler' by darklinkpower. Thank you darklinkpower.
This extension is designed to parse the flags/tags in rom filenames to extract data that can be used to populate fields in Playnite.
The main use will be for extracting Region data however other data could be added such as:
As of v0.1.0 release, only Redump and No-Intro are supported. This extension is designed to make it easy to add other naming conventions in future releases.
Compatibility: Due to the Great 8 Break, this add-on is not compatible with any version of Playnite after v8.15. (I will release this for Playnite 9 if somebody can explain all of the changes needed to convert P8 scripts to P9)
If you found this add-on useful, you can find more of my add-ons here
After these forums close I will upload add-ons to https://mega.nz/folder/M2lQjAwK#njde1JEQbJjquOAojrXF_A

- Version
- Features
- Developer/Publisher (very few naming conventions support this)
- Genres (very few naming conventions support this)
- Published Date (very few naming conventions support date and the only ones that do this consistently only include the year) (UPDATE: Playnite 10 allows recording of year?)
- Supported Languages (this data would be easy to extract however, as of v8.15, Playnite has nowhere to record this information. Languages <> Region)
