Hi everyone.

During these past few months, I've been using GOG Galaxy 2 and I made more than 400 covers for my games. I try to keep a white title and use a beautiful HD logo.

Now I've switched to Playnite, and I'd like to share them with the community. I thinkl it would be great to have an official cover database for Playnite. I'm ready to share all my word and my PSD model, so other can create too.

Here are some of them : https://imgur.com/a/EgXKbhu

So I'm looking for a developer who would like to develop this plugin with me. I have notions of code but never made a plugin for Playnite. And I'm not sure I have the time.

At the moment, my covers are stored on Dropbox and I'd like to keep it that way because I'm often making some changes.

So, if you are interested, we can talk right here Smile

P.S. : I'm French but fluent in English !

It wouldn't be too hard to make an extension, I'd think. I don't know a ton of code but I'd guess it'd be as simple as:

User adds game to Playnite

CoverPlugin checks to see if it's a game that you've made a cover for

If so, download it from your repository

If not, notify you that someone's got a game that's not been added so it CAN be

Allright I'mma go play around a bit and see if I can't make something that kinda works for ya

In my opinion there's no need to reinvent the wheel. SteamGridDB already exist and does an excellent job as a metadata resource for games and someone has already made a Playnite plugin that is pretty advanced in development:

Yes but I have a big problem with SteamGridDB : they allow only low res pictures that pixelate very much when I put big zoom in Playnite ! My pictures are 923px x 1300px

I would not host your images on Dropbox.

Main problem is that you have a transfer limit on your files, after that Dropbox will not deliver the images.

Better, create an imgur account where you put the files in an album and the extension draws the images from there, or just get some regular webspace for the files.

I can store them anywhere, it's not a problem indeed.
My main problem is developping the plugin Smile I'd really like that all the community can benefit of my covers with a single click.
