This extension scans your Playnite database to move any Steam games into the Steam Library in Playnite.
You do not need to alter your Steam settings.
DO NOT USE THIS EXTENSION IF YOUR STEAM ACCOUNT IS SET TO PUBLIC
Q. How does this detect which games are Steam games without linking my account ?
A. By reading the Links on the game. If the game has a link for Steam (or Steam Database), it will extract the Steam appid from the url. (It will exclude most false positives - see questions below)
Q. What if I have a non-Steam game with a Steam (or SteamDB) link? <insert game name> was released on <insert console> as well as Steam. Will this add my console port ?
A. No. By design the extension will ignore all platforms other than PC. Any console games will not be affected.
Q. What if I have a non-Steam game with a Steam (or SteamDB) link? I bought <insert game name> from GOG but it is also available on Steam. Will this add my GOG game to my Steam Library if this game has a Steam link?
A. Not if the game is already in the GOG Library in Playnite. By design the extension will ignore all other Libraries within Playnite. It will only process games that are in the default/Playnite Library.
Q. What if I have a non-Steam game with a Steam (or SteamDB) link? I bought a PC game from a bricks-and-mortar store but this old game has recently been added to Steam. Will this game be added to my Steam Library in Playnite?
A. Yes. It is not possible to automatically exclude games in this scenario from detection. If that is a problem for you, do not use this extension.
There is an alternative option - it is possible to manually exclude these games. You can exclude these old games by editing their Playnite entries to remove any Steam and SteamDB links they have before running the scan.
Q. How do I add the necessary links to my Steam game/s ?
A. Use a metadata plugin. The IGDB plugin is good for adding Steam links. PCGamingWiki Metadata Provider can be used for adding SteamDB links.
How to Use:
Compatibility: Due to the Great 8 Break, this add-on is not compatible with any version of Playnite after v8.15.

How to Use:
- Add your games on Steam to Playnite (if not already done so) (Multiple ways to do this - manually add the games, scan your hard drive/s or use an extension that can bulk import games)
- Ensure you have the Steam Library plugin installed and enabled. (Do not do any configuration to the plugin.)
- From the Main Menu, go to Extensions then run the option under 'Fix Game Library - Steam'
- To see what games were changed - Use the Playnite filters to change your Library to Steam.
- If any games did not change and they should have - check that that their platform is set to 'PC'. Check that they have at least one link for Steam and/or SteamDB. Correct these issues then run the scan again.
