Different cover format according to category?

I have recently discovered this application and I am very surprised with it, is exactly what I was looking for

And I have a question.

In emulators, each console has a different format for its games. Is there any way to set different formats for cover images according to their category?

We've had discussion about this in past, but problem is that all covers we are displaying must be rendered in uniform size. Which means that this could be only implemented if we somehow restrict view to only display games from a single platform.

To piggyback off of this, how difficult would it be to implement a separate banner size/ratio for the Game Details window in Fullscreen? Something like having the old Steam horizontal banners in the main grid but vertical box art when I enter a game's details page.

It would require adding option to assign another type of game cover, I'm not sure I like that idea. Might be possible in future via custom theme when we add an option to assign custom game fields.

Ahmm, okay, I didn't think it was complicated. But well, it's a spectacular app and it's not a problem that all the covers have the same dimensions
