Creating a desktop shortcut creates a playnite://playnite/start/ link. Are any other commands available and/or planned for future releases?
Thank you.
Thank you.

start is the only one at the moment, but 3rd party extensions can add additional ones. There will be more added in Playnite 9, but mainly related to add-on installation/update.

Was this expanded upon in 9.0? I know my case is different than the add-on based commands you mentioned but I'm mostly hoping for a command line to change the installation status of a game from Powershell. My goal right now is to create makeshift Installation Actions -- sort of like Play Actions but for installing games. So for disk based Windows games I could run a script that will run a specified setup.exe from my network drive and then tell Playnite to mark the game as installed. My goal right now is to add this as a Script Action but not select "Play Action" so it'll show up in the Right Click menu of a game but not in the list of Play Actions

Actions can be marked as Play Action or not to indicate if they should show as an option to play the game or only in submenus.

Correct. But I'm wanting to make a Play Action script that can alter the Installation status of a game -- to either mark a game as installed or uninstalled. A command line argument is the only way I see that working at this point. Something along the lines of "playnite://toggleinstalled/[gameid]." Unless I'm missing something, Script Play Actions are Powershell scripts and there isn't any built in code to modify the metadata of a game entry.

Having a URI just for that doesn't make much sense imo, but you can add an uri to do that via extension. In any case, you can use the Playnite SDK to change the installation status in the Play Action.

I looked into the SDK documentation and found the Enum for setting the Installation Status as well as the name of the data point in the GameMetadata Class. I don't know what to do with this information though. My goal is to make Installation Actions. Playnite handles installations well for launcher based games but, understandably, not DRM-free or disk based games. I don't know if Crow even has intentions of adding user-created installation actions so I'm working within the systems available to do it. I can install the games just fine but need a way to automate the process of changing the Installation status of a game when I use one of these actions. Any help on this would be appreciated.

I suggest you check https://playnite.link/docs/tutorials/ext...powershell and https://playnite.link/docs/api/Playnite....sInstalled
Also https://playnite.link/docs/manual/gameActions.html and https://playnite.link/docs/manual/gameSc...tup-script Quote:I don't know if Crow even has intentions of adding user-created installation actions[...] That's exactly why the Play Action script support feature was made, you can do whatever you imagine in your script. I think this topic is different from the original one of the thread. My suggestion is to ask in the Playnite discord if you need any more specific help regarding what you want to do.

Plugins can provide installation implementations for any game in Playnite 9. So if you want to make installers for your custom games, make a plugin for it.
https://playnite.link/docs/master/tutori...ll-actions Also as darklinkpower said, this is off topic to the original question.
