If you are using the default/classic theme, you can use DefaultExtend theme.

How strange - It works perfectly in the DefaultExtend theme. Thanks! Not sure why I can't get it to work on any of the actual Playnite default or classics. I do notice it also works in some other themes as well. This is my favorite addin.

I appear to be struggling to even figure out how to use the extension. I added my SteamGridDB api key but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the images to work here. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

The first step is to use a custom theme supporting the plugin.
Next, you must enable the plugin settings options:
   
After this, you can select the images with game menu.

Allowing users to set the default search options for SteamGridDB would speed up using this plugin to download alternate game art for larger numbers of games.

It would be very helpful to select and import multiple images from SteamGridDB when searching.

Ideally I'd like to set the SteamGridDB defaults, then tell the plugin to go download additional cover art for all my games with these settings. I can always delete covers I don't like once they're installed.

Hi. Thanks for this plugin. However I couldn't make apng work. I want to use this cover ( https://www.steamgriddb.com/grid/101307 ), however the plugin doesn't show anything even after I converted the cover to mp4 by using ffmpeg. What settings does the plugin use to convert animated images to mp4? What is the limitations for animated cover and background images? Can you help me?

Managed to work it out by converting apng to webp.

Can't seem to access the settings for this plugin anymore. When I click the plugin in the settings section of the add-ons menu, the window just says "Failed to load settings." I've tried reinstalling Playnite, switching themes. Nothing works anymore. Bummer.
