Hey Guys,

I am mostly at home about covid pandemic like most of you. At first thank you very much for that great application.

I found Playnite last week and put some order to my windows games. Everything seems to be OK.
I am using portable zip version of Playnite.

I have some questions
Sorry if i missed something from Playnite menus;

1-)
Playnite location
"D:\Games\playnite\Playnite.DesktopApp.exe"

My Games on D: drive, (sorted by platform)
"D:\Games\games-a26"

"D:\Games\games-ami"
"D:\Games\games-arc"
"D:\Games\games-dc"
"D:\Games\games-dos"
"D:\Games\games-hhs"
"D:\Games\games-mig"
"D:\Games\games-n64"
"D:\Games\games-nes"
"D:\Games\games-ps1"
"D:\Games\games-ps2"
"D:\Games\games-snes"
"D:\Games\games-swf"
"D:\Games\games-win"

for example
"D:\Games\games-win\games\Hugo Gold (1998) [DISK]\hugod.exe"

working directory is {InstallDir} it is ok
play action path hugod.exe it is ok
but the installation directory is D:\Games\games-win\games\Hugo Gold (1998) [DISK]

If i move my D:\Games folder to a removable drive what will happen? Will Playnite see my new drive path by automaticaly
or do i need to change it by hand for each game? I have only sorted my windows games yet and they are about 70 games.
But i will add the other platform games to playnite soon, so what can i do to set this? (For example 1996 Atari2600 game)

2-)
I use Stella GUI for to play Atari2600 games,  i have a package of 1996 games in it with snapshots, is there a way to add them in playnite without any manual procedures? This question is also for Arcade MAME games too?

3-)
Is there an option to close automatic update check for the application?

1) If the only thing changing is a drive letter, then it will still work (Playnite checks other drives if original drive path no longer exists). But you can alternatively change the install path to relative one.

2) Use emulation import dialogs. https://github.com/JosefNemec/Playnite/w...ated-games There's currently no feature to auto-scan for newly added roms, but it will most likely arrive with Playnite 9.

3) There isn't.

Thanks for the reply

- It is good if it checks the drive path.
Sure it is your app but maybe adding some new variables will make it better.
https://playnite.link/docs/manual/gameVariables.html

- Happy to hear about version 9, it will be easier.

- I asked about automatic update check, just because of my limited internet connection. It is no problem i can pass it with 3rd party application.

Now i am looking forums and github pages of playnite. There are really good extensions and features.

Thanks again who gives effort and time for this.
