In Desktop Mode you need to go to Settings and then Grid View you can then set your Target Aspect Ratio to any of the following depending on what Covers you have:

• 1:1
  
• 3:4
  
• 2:3 
  

Stretch Mode is a personal preference, either Fill or Uniform to Fill will work and do slightly different things.

Trailers are used in the Main view and Game Details view.
To add  Trailers please use the extension Extra Metadata Tools Video by darklinkpower, found here: https://playnite.link/forum/thread-575.html
 
 
 
-- Video Intro --
To use Video Intro’s, you will need to install the DKG Theme Modifier, this will have a check box to enable Video Intro’s.
You will need to copy your video to:

%APPDATA%\Playnite\ExtraMetadata\Themes\Fullscreen\XBOXSERIESish

Your video needs to be named:

IntroVideo.mp4

Videos are muted by default so they do not collide with Playnite Sounds on Startup, you can unmute the Video Intro in the DKG Theme Modifier.

This is a theme based on the XBOX Series UI. 

This theme automatically crops the covers to the cover style chosen via the Grid View, if all your images match the aspect ratio chosen.

NOTE: When updating themes in Playnite it deletes the previous version before updating so please backup any background music, videos, images or profile pictures before updating and then reapply. UNLESS you have the new Extra Metadata Tools installed.

You'll need to install the Playnite Sounds Extension found here: https://playnite.link/forum/thread-432.h...ite+sounds
Then navigate to the below, delete all the sound files in there and copy in the ones from the XBOX download on the Playnite Sounds Page.
 

 
 
 
-- Background Image --
To install open Windows Explorer and copy %APPDATA%\Playnite\Themes\Fullscreen into the navigation bar. Go into the folder for XBOXSERIESish. Go into the Media folder and then copy in a jpg called background.jpg. It will then be used as the background for everything if Game Backgrounds are disabled.
 
 
-- Profile Picture, Background Music & Background Video --
There are now two ways of doing this depending on whether you have Extra Metadata Tools installed or not, please follow the relevant guide below.

-- WITHOUT Extra Metadata Tools --
To install open Windows Explorer and copy %APPDATA%\Playnite\Themes\Fullscreen into the navigation bar. Go into the folder for XBOXSERIESish.
Go into the Media folder and then copy in background.mp3 for background music and either background_1080.mp4 or background_2160.mp4 for background video.
For Profile Picture you will see a Profile Pictures in the Media folder, the one name ProfilePicture.png will be the one used, so you can add your own here. It is recommended you use something that is the same resolution.
 
 
-- WITH Extra Metadata Tools --
Please scroll down to the section below called -- Extra Metadata Tools -- for all the information on this.
 

-- Extra Metadata Tools --
This Extension allows you to add Logo's for each game and not use the Icon's for Logo's like this theme currently does, Profile Picture, Background Music and Background Video. All media is retained in the Extra Metadata Tools folder so is not deleted upon theme updates.
You'll need to go to https://playnite.link/forum/thread-575.html and follow any instructions for installation of the plugin.
 
To add a Profile Picture, Background Music or a Background Video you'll need to right click any game and then add them like the screenshot below, you only need to add these once not for each game.


You should see a pop up like below when starting my theme for the first time with this extension installed, just click OK and restart Playnite and it will all be working. If you don't see this pop up please restart Playnite until you do.


If you want to go back to using the Icon's you will need to uninstall the extension and re-install my theme.
 
 
 
-- SuccessStory Integration --


For Trophy's Earned to show you need to install the latest version of SuccessStory which can be found here: https://playnite.link/forum/thread-275.html

Once installed in Desktop Mode you need to go to Settings, Plugins and then SuccessStory. On the Appearance tab you need to turn on Enable custom theme integration (Only if integrated in custom theme), see screenshot below:

-- Tutorial - Quick Guide To Add Images -- 

This is a quick guide to adding images more easily for this theme.
For Cover Images click the "G" like below, then replace the word "cover" with imagesize:1024x1024 site:store.playstation.com like below. This will find images only from the Playstation Store, you can remove site:store.playstation.com if you don't want images just from there. 


For Background Images click the "G" like below, then replace the word "wallpaper" with imagesize:3840x2160 site:store.playstation.com like below. This will find images only from the Playstation Store, you can remove site:store.playstation.com if you don't want images just from there.


For any of the imagesize: bits you can add your own resolutions. Hopefully this guide helps.

The text box is too small for other languages, in the rest everything seems to work perfect

I understand that this seeks to be a faithful representation of series x, but this general view is much more beautiful and aesthetic

Your PS5 theme is top-notch but this theme fits better (IMO) on my Windows 10 based PC.

love your skin looks amazing, one problem ive encountered is pressing the dpad down on the main screen seems to make the cursor go to a strange place, and it takes a while to get back to the 7 main games, and mouse support doesn't seem all there

hope you can fix that but still using your skin in either way

And you can add those as a background video you just need to find them and add them, using either Extra Metadata Tools or drop it into the media folder. I don't want to make all the dynamic backgrounds like I made the PS5 background as it will take me a very long time. Also the xbox has no background music. You can use the PS5 background music instead if you want some background music.

Glad you're enjoying the theme. The game details page is based on the game details store page of the Xbox which I've attached below:
   

There is another page that looks like this so I could change it to be more like this:
   

I will make it better over time either way, but I won't make it the same as PS5ish as that would stray from The Xbox style of the theme.
