I've got a host of older games, and these usually run through Emulators (e.g. ZX Spin for ZX Spectrum, Beeb 'Em for BBC Micro, and even the Tandy TRS 80 basic setup using VMC10).
I can add the Emulator to Playnite, launches fine if associated to a game. However I cant get it to load the games as part of the set up on Playnite.
- I can associate the file type with the Emulator in File Manager, and then get Playnite to launch the Emulator with the file as input arguments, and that can work but thats no different than doing it via File Manager in windows. So thats not really a good answer, plus .bin type files that I dont really want to associate with one specific emulator.
I can see that Playnite has some scripting, etc. but wonder if it is possible to set/create a script so that when I open Playnite itself, the commands can be passed into the Emulator as if typed (though some Emulators like BeebEm you would need to load the Disc first).
I'm not that technically proficient, but can follow an example if shared, but I seem to be missing a trick that would really make Playnite a one stop shop for me on the games launching side.
