Ever had to format your system?

Compatibility: This extension is not compatible with Playnite 9+. Lack of information on converting P8 to P10 extensions is preventing me from converting this (and other extensions) to P10.

"The extension does not work"
- Are you using the latest release of the extension? Bugs have been fixed since the first public releases
- Do you have GameSave Manager? Like extensions I have created for other programs, the extension does not come bundled with the software.
- If you do not already have GameSave Manager - download it from https://www.gamesave-manager.com/
- If you were already using GameSave Manager before installing this extension - what version do you have? This extension was designed to work with v3 releases. It will not work with the unfinished v4 or the outdated v1 & v2 releases. This extension is designed to handle older v3 releases so it will still work if you have not running the latest version.
- What version of Playnite are you using? This extension should work in Playnite 7 and 8. It will not work with Playnite 9+ due to the breaking changes introduced in Playnite 9. If you want me to convert this (or other extensions) for Playnite 10, I will need information on what changes are needed to convert P8 scripts to P9+.

UPDATE ANNOUNCEMENT v1.0.3
- FIXED - Bug Fixes - One or more menu items would not run in v1.0.0 and v1.0.1 releases caused by miskeys introduced prior to release.
- IMPROVED - Year Suffix - Some games in GSM have a year suffix (used for games with more than one release of the same name). If no matching folder is found for the game, it will check for a year version using the release date from Playnite.
- NOT RELEASED - Improvements made to hidden features that are not released yet.
- CHANGED - Other code changes

Q. "The Restore works OK but Backup opens the program and then nothing happens. Why?"
A. Because the GameSave Manager program has command-line support for Restore but not for Backup (as of latest version 3.1.517.0).
Rather than release this without any menu option to backup, the backup option will open the GSM program. You then need to manually select which game(s) you want to backup.
If/When GSM adds command-line support for backup, I will add it to this extension.

If you found this add-on useful, you may also be interested in this which enables back up and restore of portable saves and other saves that GameSave Manager can not handle.
